As a teenager I got interested in spirituality and subscribed to the Rose Crusicians. I followed their spiritual assignments for a couple of years, did a weekend in a Mr Moon community but got really touched when I came in contact with the books and meditations of Gurdjeff. I practised his techniques but missed the teacher, unfortunately he had died (1949) before I was born.
After years of many travels and jobs throughout the Netherlands and in Europe I got accepted as a student in the therapy and meditation centre The Humaniversity, and became a committed staff member. Living together with many other people was exactly what I needed in my new life as a disciple of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh/Osho. I lived in the commune for 10 years and have been trained in therapy, meditation and martial arts by influential Western and Eastern Masters: Veeresh Yuson, Mariet Wijnen, Shikhara Flaton, Gandha Fairs, Smito Böckler, Humaniversity Staff, Frank Natale, Master Park Hee Dong (Hapkido), Kong Mien Ho (T'ai Chi), Pran Dotinga (Judo) and Lili Romer (Qi qong) are my highly respected teachers. It became an inner journey that continues to this day.
During a long day at the communal office my colleague showed me the Raider-White cards and I fell instantly in love with their symbols and explanation. It was the opening to a more natural language which helped tremendously to overcome my natural shyness.
"When the reader is ready, he/she will receive a deck of cards" is one of the magic qualities of Tarot. I was granted the Dakini Oracle deck just before Queens Day (1983), started reading on the streets of Amsterdam for the rest of the day and haven't stopped since.
My favourite decks are Voyager, Angel cards, Dakini Oracle, Bhagavad Gita and Medicin cards.
